Dallas Nutritional Counseling is seeking a qualified Body Positive Personal Trainer
Dallas Nutritional Counseling is a concierge private practice based in Dallas, Texas, owned and operated by Casey Bonano RD, LD, CEDS-C. Dallas Nutritional Counseling primarily focuses on the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, and body image. Any person applying must practice within a weight neutral, body positive, and Intuitive Eating lens.
We are currently seeking a fully licensed mental health therapist to join our expanding practice. This is an independent contractor position allowing for part-time start and flexible hours. Schedule and hours will be determined based on office availability, practice, and candidates needs.
The ideal candidate is fully licensed in their specific field and has at least 1-2 years of experience and 1-2 years of specific eating disorder experience.
Dallas Nutritional Counseling Mental health therapist Responsibilities:
• Conduct one-on-one and family counseling sessions with clients. Diagnosis and treat eating disorders as well as co-morbid mental health diagnoses.
• Assist clients in cultivating new skills and behaviors that contribute to a peaceful relationship with food
• Support clients in trying new experiences relevant to goals (e.g., meals in social settings, food exposures,
etc.)
• Communicate regularly with clients’ other treatment team members
• Evaluate client’s progress, revising their treatment plan as indicated per individual needs
• Manage client caseload: coordinate initial consultation calls, schedule clients, maintain detailed records,
collect and document payments, and provide invoices to clients
• Refer client to appropriate providers/resources when indicated
• Maintain and model professional boundaries
• Demonstrate flexible, balanced eating behaviors and a peaceful relationship with one’s own food intake
and body image
Dallas Nutritional Counseling mental health therapist requirements:
LPC, LCSW
Licensed in the state of Texas
Professional liability insurance
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
A willingness to receive and integrate feedback
