Welcome Back, Megan! Now Accepting New Nutrition Counseling Clients

We’re excited to share some wonderful news: Megan Good, RD, LD, CEDS, is returning from maternity leave and is now accepting new patients at Dallas Nutritional Counseling!

After spending some special time with her growing family, Megan is looking forward to reconnecting with clients and welcoming new individuals and families into her practice.

Whether you’re looking for support with an eating disorder, struggling with chronic dieting or your relationship with food, or hoping to find a more peaceful and flexible approach to nutrition, Megan brings extensive experience, compassion, and a collaborative approach to her work.

Meet Megan Good, RD, LD, CEDS

Megan is a Senior Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and chronic dieting.

A Dallas native, Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Georgia and completed her dietetic internship through Indiana University. Her interest in eating disorder care grew after repeatedly seeing disordered eating behaviors, chronic dieting, and undiagnosed eating disorders among clients in general practice.

Megan began incorporating the principles of Intuitive Eating into her work and later returned to Dallas to deepen her expertise in eating disorder treatment. She joined Eating Recovery Center in 2019, where she gained experience working with patients across inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care.

Megan’s Areas of Expertise

Megan works with teens ages 16+, young adults, college students and young adults transitioning into adulthood, as well as adults. Her areas of specialty include:

  • Eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and ARFID

  • Orthorexia, chronic dieting, and disordered eating

  • Intuitive Eating

  • Body image concerns

  • Sports nutrition and eating disorders

  • Excessive or compulsive exercise

  • Medical nutrition therapy for concerns such as diabetes and gastrointestinal disorders using an Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size® approach

Megan also provides both individual and family nutrition counseling. She has a particular interest in working with young adults and their families, helping clients develop the skills and confidence they need to maintain recovery as they move into greater independence.

A Collaborative, Compassionate Approach to Nutrition

At the heart of Megan’s work is the belief that nutrition care should help people build more flexibility and freedom around food—not more rules.

She believes that all foods can fit and works with clients to move away from labeling foods as “good” or “bad.” Her goal is to help clients develop a more flexible relationship with eating so that food takes up less mental and emotional space, leaving more room for the relationships, experiences, and activities that bring meaning to their lives.

Eating disorder recovery is also rarely a one-person effort. Megan values collaboration with therapists, psychiatrists, physicians, and family members when appropriate, creating a supportive treatment team around each client.
