Dallas Nutritional Counseling is seeking a qualified Body Positive Personal Trainer

Dallas Nutritional Counseling is a concierge private practice based in Dallas, Texas, owned and operated by Casey Bonano RD, LD, CEDS-C. Dallas Nutritional Counseling treats a variety of nutritional concerns, yet primarily focuses on the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, and body image. Any person applying must practice within a weight neutral, body positive, and Intuitive Eating lens.

Feed Yourself & Your Family is the general nutrition and family feeding division of Dallas Nutritional Counseling. Dallas Nutritional Counseling is a Dallas-based private practice founded by Casey Bonano RD, LD, CEDS-C. For the past decade Casey built her practice with a focus on helping those struggling with an eating disorder, disordered eating, and chronic dieting. Since opening the practice and having two children of her own Casey saw the need for non-diet and non-fear based nutrition education and family feeding resources and established Feed Yourself & Your Family in 2024. We currently offer nutrition counseling, menu creation, and chef services and would love to add personal training services. 

We are currently seeking a personal trainer to join our expanding practice. This is an independent contractor position allowing for part-time start and flexible hours. Schedule and hours will be determined based on the needs of the trainer and client. 

The ideal candidate is fully licensed in their specific field and has at least 1-2 years of experience, specific eating disorder training and knowledge is a plus!

Dallas Nutritional Counseling body positive personal trainer Responsibilities:

  • Designs and leads customized fitness programs, guiding clients through exercises to improve strength, endurance, and overall health, while also providing motivation, ensuring proper form to prevent injury, and tracking progress to help clients reach their specific goals.

  • Able to conduct personal training sessions under the body positive, weight neutral lens (non-negotiable). 

  • Manage client caseload: coordinate initial consultation calls, schedule clients, maintain detailed records,

  • Collect and document payments, and provide invoices to clients as needed.

  • Refer client to appropriate providers/resources when indicated

  • Maintain and model professional boundaries

  • Demonstrate flexible, balanced eating behaviors and a peaceful relationship with one’s own food intake, relationship with exercise and body image.

Dallas Nutritional Counseling body positive personal trainer requirements:

  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) qualification or equivalent credentials from an accredited organization. 

  • • Knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, and physiology and ability to demonstrate physical exercises and adapt them to meet diverse client needs and goals.

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues

  • A willingness to receive and integrate feedback
