Meet Our Newest Dietitian - Megan McDermett

October 11, 2021 Casey Bonano
Megan McDermett, our newest team member.

Megan McDermett, our newest team member.

We are so excited to announce that we have added another dietitian to the Dallas Nutritional Counseling practice!

Meet our newest team member, Megan McDermett. Megan is a registered dietitian that specializes in eating disorders, disordered eating, and chronic dieting. Megan received a BS in Dietetics from the University of Georgia, and completed her dietetic internship with Indiana University. Megan has worked with clients of all ages, but has a special interest in working with the young adult population and their families so she can help them launch into adulthood with the proper skills to maintain recovery and live a fulfilling life.

Megan previously worked at the Eating Recovery Center in Dallas and has experience with a variety of eating disorder diagnoses including anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge eating disorder (BED), and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Megan’s food philosophy is that all foods fit and there are no “good” or “bad” foods. She focuses on helping her patients find flexibility in their eating so they can truly re-engage in the joyful and meaningful parts of their lives.

If you are intrigued, please click the button below to read Megan’s full biography on our About page.
