Nutrition counseling for eating disorders
Nutritional Counseling utilizes a one-on-one approach to analyzing your relationship with food. Initial appointments consist of a thorough evaluation of your nutritional habits including diet history, previous experiences with food, body, and weight. Initial nutrition counseling sessions last an hour and include a full nutritional assessment - diet history, medical history, experience with disorder eating behaviors and what you want to accomplish through our meetings. Our dietitians will make recommendations based off this information and set up a follow-up appointment.
All follow-up appointments will review previous recommendations, provide nutrition support, individualize current guidelines, as well as suggest any further diet or behavior modifications. All follow up appointments are 50 minutes and are scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Typically patients begin seeing our dietitians weekly and once progress is made appointments can be made bi-weekly, or monthly. All follow up appointments will consist of individualized nutrition recommendations, education, and support.

Nutrition Counseling for Eating Disorders - Dallas Nutritional Counseling, Registered Dietitians specializing in the treatment of eating disorders
Eating disorders impact the entire family system, and while so much of the treatment process is focused on the client, the caregivers tend to struggle at home with minimal support. Join Dallas Nutritional Counseling for a two-hour parent workshop, where we will bridge the gap between what the client needs and what the family needs. In this workshop you will gain a deeper understanding of the vital role you play in the recovery process, connect with other families going through the recovery process, and feel more confident in supporting your loved one. We will also be joined by Hila Eyal whose daughter struggled with an eating disorder and now is in recovery. Hila will share their family story of how they navigated the recovery process at the beginning, in the middle, and now ongoing.
